LOST

Ok, so I'm a bit slow on the uptake here, but I have recently started watching the global phenomenon that is Lost! Having missed the first series due to working late night shifts, I never got into watching the series, and didn't want to come in half way through; however, the boxsets have been lent to me and thus I am now hooked!

I am particularly interested in the way in which each episode is put together, with spliced clips of different characters lives before the plane crash revealing more and more about them. I think this is a very clever way to develop characters, and it allows the writers (or has allowed) to basically write what they want about a characters past and reveal it whenever they want....

IOW Festival

Posted by Richard Moss on 16-06-2010 at 17:36:08
Having had a few days to recover and reflect upon this years Isle of Wight Festival, I thought it was time to put on record my feelings and views on the weekend.

Arriving in the pouring rain at thursday lunch time, the weekend was looking bleak; the poor organisation of the camping areas, left us waiting for half an hour in the soaking conditions for a clean field to be opened when there was clearly no room for anyone to pitch a tent in the rest of the fields....

I agree, what an amazing weekend! Lots of great acts and great company from you guys, lots of good memories I will take away with me, even the rain couldnt put a dampner on the weekend!haha! Fav acts have to be Biffy, Strokes, Pink (although she is my idle so a bit bias) and McCartney! What a way to end an amazing weekend! Bring on IOW 2011!!! though without the rain this time please!

World Cup 2010

Posted by Richard Moss on 07-06-2010 at 10:31:22
With the World Cup in South Africa starting in 4 days time, I thought it was about time I put together my predictions for the tournament, and for England.

Firstly, the English team is coming into this tournament with the least pressure I feel in years! As a country, we don't seem to be expecting a win, which is a very different atmosphere from the previous 3 World Cups. However, I think this may work in our favour; less pressure on the players and more than likely less fans following in South Africa (due to the extortionate prices for flights and accommodation - if it was even remotely cheap, I would be there!) the team may well over-perform. This coupled with the conditions which are very similar to English conditions, may well result in a successful tournament for the 3 Lions. I predict a semi-final exit for England, finishing 3rd by winning the 3rd/4th place play-off....
